Reference Document

In May 2010, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection began developing the first two national reference documents on best available techniques (BAT) – the BAT reference document for the production of food, drinks and milk and the BAT reference document for foundry and smithery. Engineers specializing in the industries and specialists in environmental audit and standardization have been invited to participate in the development of the documents. The development of these documents is based on the corresponding EU reference documents which were translated into Russian as part of the international technical assistance project funded by the World Bank “Enhancing Institutional and Legal Framework for Environmental Permitting in Belarus.”
